Cross Platform

The term in information technology on a software that can be used in some operating systems (Microsoft, Linux, Mac OS, BSD, etc). Generally, software that has a cross-platform capability is freeware. Examples of software that has a cross-platform capabilities include the http server Apache, MySQL and PHP.
