Open Solaris

Open Solaris is a Unix family of operating systems developed by Sun Microsystems Inc. Open Solaris is Sun Solaris under an open source license CDDL (Common Development and Distribution License). Sun Solaris can run on the processor in the x86, x64 and SPARC. Solaris is known for skalabilitasnya, especially on SPARC systems, as well as for innovative features such as Dtrace and ZFS. Solaris was developed as a licensed software, Solaris still supported by many major server vendors and its code base was released via the Open Solaris project.
