Bit

Short term for binary digit. Bit is the smallest unit of a computer database. A bit consists of one binary digit 0 or 1. Although computers can run and manipulate bits, but this time the computer is designed to handle and store a set of bits called a byte. In most computer systems, a byte consists of 8 bits.
