The software allows computer users to distribute a file to other users via the Internet. This program developed by Bram Cohen to use the Python programming language and introduced in CodeCon conference in 2002. Licensing program since the fourth version, subject to the Bittorent Open Source License which is a modification of the Jabber Open Source License.
