Command Prompt

Command Prompt or we often call the CMD, is an innate program Windows Operating System that is similar to MS DOS "Microsoft Disk Operating System." CMD in the text-based operation, where a user must type the commands one by one, which can be understood and then processed and displayed. This makes CMD different programs based GUI. We as users need to know the command or commands that are recognized by the CMD, for which there are a few basic commands we will learn:

The most important thing in using the CMD is the placement location. When the CMD will be opened by default in c: \ Documents and Settings \ Mr.DIAS> ", which should I do if for example I want to go into a folder on drive D is that I should switch to the drive with the command D: like The following "C: \ Documents and Settings \ Mr.DIAS> D:" then the D:> CD Folder Name to go to the folder I want and if I wanted to get back I'll have to type the CD .. to go back one stage. CMD also we can use to open programs or files that we want, for example I wanted to open the MS Word program "D:> START WINWORD" about the place where the current drive is not a problem, we can open any application even though we are in the drive D by knowing the name used by the application, different if we want to open a file because we have to inform the CMD location of the file, for example I want to open a file on drive E with 1.doc PRACTICE filename, then I'll have to type " D:> START E: Exercise 1.doc "so CMD will know where to position the file is located. Please note, not all programs can be opened using the CMD. Download Command Prompt Basic Command
