FTP

Stands for File Transfer Protocol, is an Internet protocol that is running in application layer which is a standard for transferring files between machines within an internetwork. FTP protocol uses Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) for data communication between client and server, so between these two components will be made a communication session before data transfer begins.
